They don't improve with age. They may smoke better for a short time after they acclamate but that's it. We bought a few facings to sell of Atabey and Byron when they first came out. The Byron is a better cigar imo. If you're looking for a Davidoff profile, Try Paul Garmarian. Davidoff tobacco.

I wish on this site we could check a box beside a post that said we “liked” it. That one from you @H Upmann was so useful, experienced and honest. Thanks!

I also recently had my first run-ins with some atabey/Byron stuff ..... Lots of woods and dryness featured in the profiles I've smoker so far. I don't know if I love or hate the bottomless cellophane...
.it's different, it provides air and access, but I almost dropped the cigar on the ground when I picked it up off the counter and forgot about the open bottom cello.

Overall, I'm glad I've tried a few, I'll probably try 2 more, but probably not worth the money. I should find something I truly love at $30/40+ per stick.

The Atabeys I got had standard folded celophane on the feet...interesting that yours did not.
