Clearly different from my tastes Bill. Both are good cigars, but the OR is simply a better smoke with an more profound flavor profile. Just one mans humble opinion.

Just got a ten pack of these guys and they are a really good smoke if you say the origional were better they must be really really good

I haven't been fortunate enough to have an OR to smoke in some time, and I've enjoyed the current production for what they are, but I recall the OR's being much better too.  More complex, with more subtle changes in their profile. 

Still will be interesting to see a side by side comparison though.

I o was reading what a great cigar but sad to see the new ones are not as good. Are any of the birthday smokes as good

In my opinion, no.  But you know what they say about opinions!  The 07 was a decent smoke, but not what the 05 was.
