Dane top notch, still wish I had some more, but honestly liked the SS1 better, so bought those.
(Factoid:  Min Ron Nee said his FAV cigar is SS1)[/quote]

I agree. The SS1 flavor profile is more to my liking and more versatile. They would be subject to draw problems however, where I had almost no problems with many cabs of SS2. Nothing like an SS2 after a steak dinner though...

Just tried one from the cab I purchased from Dane, it was excellent. Great purchase. My first cab of lusitania was fpg97 lusitania.

Still have some el dentes in my collection. I used to have him ship the original box and bands in a separate shipment. I'd try and put the bands back onto the cigars and put them into their original boxes.  Worked occasionally.  Ended up just taking the El Dente or El Ambassador bands off and putting them in their box unbanded.  Have a gorgeous box of unbanded CoRos from 2002 sitting in my humidor for a special occasion.

I've been ordering from Rony for 22 years.  Right now he doesn't ship to US.

The only time I had Rony send boxes and bands separately was for a couple boxes of the Cohiba Selecion Riservas. Used fructose to glue the bands on and it worked fine. Still have most of them.

I had several boxes of very tasty 2002-2004 Super Coronas from Rony, but my friend GGinSF got one box that was nasty....fireproof wrappers, skanky taste...just goes to show that even the best vendors get shitty cigars sometimes...he still calls them "Super Suckies."  :D

It was because GG (now GGinMenloPark) gave them the "special sauce" when you came over....

Oh yes! El Dentes

Think I have some buried deep in one of the cabinets.

Crazy times right now.
