Es verdad. Re-boxed and re-banded by Mediterranean vendor back in the day. Even came with a little "Republica de Nicaragua" warranty seal for the benefit of a certain govt agency that might open the package to examine the contents.

In the early 2000's, the website was KeepLighting.com and was in Cyprus. They procured their Habanos stock through Phoenica Trading Company, the authorized Habanos distributorship for the Middle East. It was widely held that Phoenicia received the best quality tier of Habanos after Hunter's and Frankau (H&F), the distributor for the UK.
For US customers, KeepLighting offered a service that was unique: reboxing and rebanding under several different brands, including "El Dentes" and "El Ambassador," so that if US Customs opened the package, they would not legally be able to seize it.
Over the past 20 years, some of the best Habanos I've ever smoked were from Rony at KeepLighting: Monte 2, Upman Super Coronas, Partagas Coronas, Punch SS1, SS2, RS11, Boli CG, SLR Double Coronas & Lonsdales, and PL PC to name a few.
Not sure when they changed, maybe around 2005, but their current Habanos site is Promo Cigar and they do not guarantee delivery. Keeplighting.com became a source for their house brand Nicaraguan cigars under the "El Dentes" brand. I haven't ordered from Rony since 2004.

Dane is as legit as they come. Period.
Not sure if that is the question but just in case it is.

At one time, I had as many as a dozen cabinets of those 2001 Punch SS2 from KL in my humidor. They were delicious and a real value, but now I'm on my last cabinet and I'm not hesitating to smoke them up as they are beginning to fade beyond my liking.

Chuck, I only had 4 cabinets of SS2. They were too strong for me to smoke until they were 10+ years old. Mine are now still quite full flavored but only medium strength, which is perfect for me.

I'm still hoarding a few Esplendido El Dentes from 2003. I can't remember why I stopped using them, it may have been that their website interface was horrible. Any way, when I first caught the Cuban cigar bug I had a lot of repackaged cigars from Tony and never had a problem.

Had many CABS of these from same place, in fact, smoked same ones hotboy had.
Dane top notch, still wish I had some more, but honestly liked the SS1 better, so bought those.
(Factoid: Min Ron Nee said his FAV cigar is SS1)
