Id be curious to know if the habanos rice paper insert curls in your hand when holding. If you arent familiar, lay it in your hand with an open flat palm. Heat from your hand should cause the paper to curl up on itself. This isnt a fool proof test for authenticity mind you, but just another indicator to help.

That box stamp font screams FAKE... absolutely no question about authenticity anymore.

how did it smoke?
It wasn't bad.  Tasted like nic tobacco to me.  Held a nice ash and burned evenly throughout the smoke so I'm assuming it's long filler.  Wasn't a bad smoke but def wasn't Cuban.
Oh, I had no question about authenticity...lol.  The problem is, getting a 24 yo newbie cigar smoker to admit that he got taken even after his pops said "don't do it...they're fake!"...lol. They never wanna admit dad was right, ya know.

I can...but I'm just leaving the house to smoke one w him.  Here's one I pulled from the box.  I tried to get a shot of the holographics on the band, which, as I said looks pretty good.  Construction is not what you'd expect though.
I don't recall if we checked the bands or the stamps but whatever we checked, it did pass.  🤷

Easy to put the nail on the coffin on this one. Buy two Siglo VI and smoke them with him. He will most likely be able to tell the difference. Tell your son to ask for his $$$ back to see what kind of response he gets. Rings, habilitacion and all the paperwork is being falsified world wide. The MSRP in Cuba for these was $330 a few years ago. Prices have gone up since then if you could ever find them in Havana. Also, the color on these is all wrong. Sig6's are usually a lighter natural color. Even if they weren't natural you shouldn't have a mix of different wrapper shades as the factory sorts these out and tries to match wrappers for a box.  John
