I hope everything is ok with Michael. He has over 750 deals here for nearly 10 years with little to no issue.

Something tells me there is an underlying issue far greater than a jar(yes it was packed terrible) or some RASS.

Sorry Nick. Since it's so strange by a long standing member, I'd encourage you to give it more time. This smells nothing like a typical rip off/scam.

I'm not quite sure what the underlying issue could be.  I say that because as recent as March 12, he was posting Instagram stories, to which I replied to asking him:  "Seriously? You're still dodging me?" - no response.  I also replied to 2 other IG stories of his, one on 2/17 and another on 2/20.  I'll be more than happy to post the snapshot of this if anyone is interested.

And you're asking me to give him more time - I respectfully ask, how much longer do I need to wait?  Is almost 6 weeks from the day I sent the initial e-mail not enough time?  Should I wait another month more to get a response? 3 months?  

Had he gone completely MIA (i.e. not posting golf stories on his IG as recent as 2 weeks ago) then I might possibly consider it, but I think I've been patient enough.  Again, I stressed in my OP - I did not want to make this thread at all.  I feel like I'm a pretty easy going guy and I have no idea how this will end, but I certainly wanted to make this community aware of what I've been dealing with the past month and a half.

ETA:  I'm in no way suggesting or meant to imply that I think he intended to rip me off or scam me.

Yes, you make good points. I didn’t realize it had been 6 weeks since you reached out. Certainly understand patience all dried up by then. Guess I always lean towards giving the benefit of the doubt, which clearly you have as well.

It might have been - the first $50 insurance are included in any priority mail shipment. However, getting USPS to pay out on an insurance claim is like getting blood from a stone - the level of documentation required makes it near impossible. Also, the outer box was completely intact so it would be very difficult to argue it was mishandling during shipping.

The seller sure could try to file a claim - if he was communicating, that is.

I think the last time they raised their rates (maybe 2 months ago, roughly), their policies changed then. I noticed the last package I sent was $0 insurance included... so no free 50 bucks anymore...you gotta pay for any insurance otherwise the assumed value is zero. The website changed around the same time too.

FWIW, I have seen alot of deals gp down here w Michael without a hitch, and I find it a bit odd that he is totally silent.

Broken shipment could have been accidental. Ignoring is intentional. Selling your reputation for $350 is just plain stupid!

In my personal experience and having shipped many packages, and getting to know USPS and UPS employees... they will be the first to tell you that a box plastered with Fragile stickers or writing, usually gets that package thrown around even more.

Correct... I am not sure what I did that day but I couldn't find it.  I shipped something this morning and it was indeed there and still included.  Thanks.
