BEWARE: SrsMiscer Piss Poor Shipping & Stopped Communicating

I've waited patiently for WEEKS now for some sort of reply from SrsMiscer (Michael) and every message through every platform has gone on deaf ears.  I feel like I've given AMPLE time and plenty benefit of the doubt.  I hate making this thread, but I'm really fed up with this situation so here I am...

Michael and I agreed on a deal for his LCDH Knokke Fidel Castro Special Release Jar (Empty) back in early February - link to his TSBC thread is here ([url=http://www.onlinehumidor.com/forum/index.php?topic=52117.0]http://www.onlinehumidor.com/forum/index.php?topic=52117.0[/url]) - I would send him aged RASS sticks in trade for his jar.  I sent the sticks and he sent the jar.

Here's the issue - the jar showed up on 2/16 and it was cracked. The jar was poorly packaged at best.  There was NO damage to the exterior of the box that he shipped the jar in.  I have pictures of the cracked jar and all of the shipping materials, box it came in, etc. 

I have reached out to Michael via PM on this site, via his personal e-mail account, as well have sent messages to him on his Instagram account explaining the situation and what he would like to do to handle it.  He has not replied to any of them since 2/16.  He was on OLH just a few days ago and has been on IG several times.

I guess I'm starting this thread as a last ditch effort to get a reply and some sort of resolution to this.  Who knows if it will go anywhere, but if nothing else, I'm letting this community know to stay away from him for any future dealings.

 Why?  Let the other person involved respond first.  If the seller bothers to respond - [u]and[/u] there's a dispute of the claim - then photos would be helpful.  Until we hear from the seller, though, there's no reason to doubt the claim of a member who has paid to support this site.

 Funny how many of the [i]Habanos Crime Family[/i] rejects from the old CA forum keep popping up elsewhere with allegations as being less than reputable.  (Ref: see Shitsqueeze attempting to sell $5 short filler cigars here for triple the MSRP.)  No surprise.

  Btw, are you still selling cat litter (or as you call them "humidity beads") for 1,000% markup?

One thing I can guarantee, is the cigars that were received from Nick were in perfect condition....period. I have dealt with Nick on many occasions, and have had a perfect experience. If Nick says this is messed up, and will bring it to our attention; then it is really fucked up! Hope you are made right Nick, you are an absolute asset to this site.

I saw the pictures in question and the lid of the jar wasn't packed properly so in transit it shattered the base of the jar. The real problem, though, is that the seller has been unresponsive to numerous efforts to contact him in order to reach a resolution - what is up with that?

Sure.  See pictures below.  You're looking at the exterior box on every side (including top and bottom of box) with no damage as well as all of the packaging materials that was used to package up everything. Zero protection inside the actual jar box other than the stock/factory foam which did absolutely nothing for shipping protection.

Here is a picture that he sent me during his packaging job on 2/10 after we agreed on a deal...and I quote... "The engineering going into the pack job is next level"

I had no idea this would essentially be the only packing and protection that was done for this jar.

This type of smearing and public trial has happened before - even by those who paid [s]Starbuck[/s]. Without evidence, it's just your word. Now that you have shown the evidence, people have proof to make their own minds up. And it always sucks to hear about breakage.

I think you should stick to what and who you know. Back to the jar at hand, looks like Claus is right that there was no structural integrity to hold everything tight. Now that this is validated somewhat, perhaps Michael should be more vigilant.

That jar isn't cracked. It's broke!

This is disappointing to see. I've dealt with him several times in the past and he has been stellar. But all it takes is one bad transaction to throw one's entire reputation under the bus. Hopefully, Mike will reach out but hopefully 'doth butter no parsnips.'

I've dealt with Michael and have done deals with him years ago with zero issues.

I thought that once I e-mailed him about this issue that we could figure out the best way to handle it. When I e-mailed again, and again, and again, and then messaged him through OLH, and then messaged him through IG multiple times (to his various IG stories), with no response... I still decided to wait it out in hopes that some sort of communication would start.  But I've gotten zero replies to date which is beyond frustrating. 

It's been almost 6 weeks since I sent that initial e-mail to him about the jar being damaged.
