I never vote based on party lines, ...

Me either, but I haven't voted for a Dem since the 1978 when I voted for Sam Nunn.  That was back when there were still conservative Democrats in the South.

Ronald Reagan would have had an easier time in the WH with those democrats in congress than the GOP of today.  That's how far each side has shifted to the left.

Regan couldn't get elected today. Too high a percentage on the public tit. It's a cause and effect thing. The more who become dependent on the government, the more that will vote in that direction. Then, since politicians aren't stupid, that's going to be what they espouse.

I believe that we have passed the point of no return, but this year's elections will show if I'm right or wrong.

I agree. JFK is embarrassed to be more conservative than the mainstream GOPlite we currently have. I think that is entirely the reason for Trump's rise to the top thus far-he's taking on the PC garbage the progressive movement has been beating the right over the heads with labels such as racists, bigots, etc.

You might not like him, but he is kicking butt in New Hampshire. So is Sanders. This is going to get interesting.
