I've received boxes from most retailers people use and a couple lesser known ones as well ..I've never received one that has been sealed in plastic like that...

A well known Swiss vendor does it to all his boxes.

I've used no less than 7 that I know of and never received a box like that. Most of these swiss vendors ship from the exact same warehouse. Yes, I've seen vendors offer shrink wrapped boxes for shipment but never something like you see of the same thing you see wrapped around NC's.

Same here. When I receive cigars from two specific vendors they are in a heavy gauge "seal a meal" kinda bag, but without the air sucked all out. One includes a 69% Boveda, the other not. But I'm sure I haven't bought from everybody...less than a dozen, a couple of which didn't survive the Chicago Grab :)

Not when buying legit habanos anyway.

Let's be real-that cheap plastic cello will do nothing to hold humidity. I'd love to compare serial numbers on both boxes

I'm only stating there is a grey market vendor that does do this to his boxes, dunno why but his stuff always is shipped this way. FWIW I ordered some PSD4's on his multibox specials and they have that same MUS boxcode.

Give the kid a break. He's not selling fakes. He's buying cigars with his scholarship and stipend money - didn't want to refund money he did not have.

As for the extra bands, it's pretty obvious that he wanted to show off to his friends about some one-off cigars he supposedly had made in Cuba after he went there himself a year back. After all, he has the necessary evidence such as the ashtray and other trinkets to support his claims. Now, if he's selling those Mexican customs as PL Magnum recreations, then we'd have a problem.

Proof that some people have never made it into the Battle Zone.

Anyone have any hamlets?  You can choose ANYTHING he has available.
