How long is too long to wait for communication?

Post by Doug B »

I recently purchased- in advance- a small amount of cigars with a price of about $100- so no big deal- but- I was supposed to get a d.c. on Thursday or Friday and it is Tuesday now and I have not heard anything as of yet. I tried reaching out multiple times and I understood that the trader was out of town last week and would return and ship out my cigars- which has not happened....I see that he has been inactive since communicating with me and to make matters more complicated he has an amazing amount of outstanding feedback. What is a guy to do?

its not cool for sure to have to wonder what is going on...but if the guy has great feedback and has not been active..he more than likely has other stuff going on at the moment...I am sure it will resolve itself..but it would be helpful to leave constructive criticism when the time comes so that everyone else knows that he/she is not perfect

I think I'm in this same boat with same seller.  1st issue buying from this site (hopefully not an issue in the end).  I'm out for $260 waiting on a box that was supposed to ship Friday May 20th latest because he was out of town.  No replys to pm's since.
Now it's a week later ... its inconsiderate at the very least.
Can't always rely on good feedback i guess.

Sorry to hear that your first purchase is apparently a scam...even though he has outstanding feedback- so something is up for sure. He could be a victim of the tornado's from last week- you never know right? Stranger things have happened.

As a note, I am no longer paying ANYONE as a 'gift' because then  you cannot dispute the payment- ever. Also, I will never again pay someone using their 'friends account because I am having issues with mine'. If their account is having 'issues'- tough shit. The cigars will sell to someone else or if I am making a purchase, I will only do it securely and directly...this may help someone else too, hopefully.

Sorry, I meant the name on the money friend description.  Usually it will tell you the name of who you are paying in addition to their email address.
