People already have to be registered to post, but should they have to be registered to view?
My thoughts have always been toward keeping the site open for viewing so that people at work can see it without logging in, or so that non-registered people can actually look in and see what you have for sale.
I've recently become aware that there have been some difficulties here and at other sites with regard to some payment options. I already have some basic protection against spiders here but I'm wondering if locking the site down to only registered, logged in members might be helpful.
Most people don't look in this forum as often as they look in on the TSBC so I'll run this for 3 weeks to give everyone a chance to vote.

I'm logged in every time I visit!
I agree about the payment stuff. I really wonder about selling buying other contraband. ???

I'm going to leave this running to see what the users want, but for now I've gone ahead and locked down the TSBC. It does not appear if you are not logged in.

good move IMHO-PP's been scanning sites for awhile now, to the point where one board i post on refers to it as "play pail" or something similiar so as not to trigger the recognition robots-as far as trading/selling overseas items goes, i'm surprised things have gone so smoothly thus far, Big Brother & whatnot-i know a lot of us are small potatoes in the grand scheme of things, but the fact remains that "if they really wanted to...."
just my 2 cents

This is a done deal. I'm going to un-sticky it and lock the voting.
