Here it is anyway...

CB, for some reason many people (self included) feel we need to provide a reason for why we are selling stuff, and "running out of room" is pretty standard fare here.  It makes them feel better than saying, "I want to get some money for these cigars so I can buy something else."

That said, I only keep two cabinets full today, it used to be three, well actually closer to four.  My best friend has a walkin in his home.  Last time I was there I had to step over piles of boxes to get to the back shelf so "room" is relative.

Great reply, thank you.

I deleted because the folks here are so sharp I did not want to send a bad vibe to BOTL.

Great coffee, cigars and whiskey. Love them all.

I admire strength of character, but I empathize most with the weak of wallet.
Sorry, I am easily amused by myself.

Actually, on the subject of "reason for sale", since I don't know anybody personally (I don't get out much), I do sometimes wonder whether the stated reason is the main reason but, if a seemingly decent BOTL (or SOTL, CB) has some cigars for sale or trade that interest me, or if the post otherwise piques my interest, I sometimes respond in a favorable, or at least, gentle, fashion. For me, it seems easy to understand the possible need to downsize, especially after trying something new and wonderful after having stocked up on a couple of past favorites, only to find that one's tastes can change relatively quickly. Now, if the person is a flat-out, lying, thieving, gouging scumbag, ..........

"Room" is relative, so true.

I have to admit I do always wonder about the stated reasons for people selling stuff.  I think some of them are quite humorous and probably nowhere close to reality...but I could care less.

If someone has an item that I want and we both agree it's a fair price I could care less if he's selling them because his dead grandma communicated to him from the beyond and said "Sell those cigars!"  If the provenance appears questionable, or the reason itself gives me reason to pause, "I'm selling these cigars because my bag of pot fell out of the humidor when I was getting a cigar for my cop buddy and he arrested me" then I'll probably pass.  I've got enough cigars that I enjoy that I rarely "need" any more.

Of course it helps with my self-restraint that the Aristocrat is nearly full and my "go-to" humidor is right behind...  :rotf:
