Interesting indeed.  Where was global warming when I was plowing through 4' snow drifts this Winter?  That's what I'd like to know!

Seriously though, I made such a comment in the presence of a 'green' type about 2 years ago.  And he went on to explain how global warming will result in more extreme weather on BOTH ends of the spectrum.  In other words, colder and snowier in the Winter, and hotter and muggier in the Summer. 

Don't know that I hold much stock in this, but it's what he said and I do know him to be quite intelligent.

On the other hand, it could just be like Dennis Miller says;  "We've been coming out of an ice age for thousands of years, and the world's been getting cooler since."
