Public service announcement: Don't be stupid and get suspended...

Post by WadeFillingame »

If you feel strongly about something that someone is posting in the TSBC then bring it here, otherwise he will still be posting and you will be getting a time out for a week or so.  Sometimes I know I'm suspending a good member of this board, but the rule against negative posting in the TSBC is pretty inflexible, and in those rare cases where I do fix/delete your post w/o suspending you consider it a warning, if you go back and do it again I'm going to be doubly pissed. I've suspended guys that I've known personally for over 10 yrs (they usually squeal the loudest either in my phone or over on CF) nobody gets a pass on this.

Don't do it, I'm going to delete your posts, you'll accomplish very little other than the frustration of getting messages from the server when you try to post or possibly log it.

Thanks.

A while back I went through a period when I suspended a bunch of people and I went out and looked for a graphic that sorta represented the gagging everyone thing.  That's where that last one came from.  There is a lot of interesting BDSM stuff out there (to say the least) but it was hard to find anything that worked when it was reduced to a small avatar size. I personally hate avatars that I have to copy to another program and blow up to see what they are/say. Anyhow, my wife thought the last one was too creepy.  I'd found this one back then, so this week when I was doing some back end stuff I changed it.

Any chance you can delete all the "great deal. wish I had room" or "Great BOTL! Deal in confidence." comments? They are just as annoying, and most likely are just shilling for their friends. That is what the traders comments are for. Just a thought....carry on.

Sure if XTR wanted to delete about 25-75 posts per day and read every single thread posted 5-10 times.

That is just not feasible.

And that's the reality.

Keep in mind that to me running this site is a hobbie, it is not a professionally operated site.  There are no full time mods.  The only other person who has mod privileges is Wisp (my wife) and she's there only as a backup if I'm completely cut off from the internet and stuff needs to be done. I know it is not perfect, but it seems to work.

Wade, hope I am not stepping on your toes at all.  Just wanted to remind everyone that it would be smart to check out http://www.scumbagslist.com before trading with new folks.  The scumbag list exists, and has existed, to help prevent some of the burns people gripe about on OLH.  Wade has made it very clear that the trading side of this site exists caveat emptor and comments/criticisms will not be allowed there.  If you choose to ignore the warnings built up over the last decade on the list and get burned you should probably blame yourself, not the host.  Just sayin....
