As previously mentioned in the Quick Poll #2 I conducted today, I won an auction recently valued (with add-ons) at $284 with shipping. The seller didn't use DC when shipping, providing no way to give evidence of whether the parcel was shipped or delivered. The parcel never arrived.
I considered just letting this go, even asking for input from the seller before posting trading comments on wensy.com. Unfortunately, the seller didn't respond and instead posted negative comments on me. So, resolution is needed, but not forthcoming, as evidenced by his last 2 emails to me, which included:
"GO FUCK YOURSELF YOU WHINNY BITCH"
"go ahead and post it , i consider that a threat and i will make sure yopu pay for it."
I offered to split the loss with him, inviting him to send me a MO for $142 (exactly half of the cost). In response I said I would spread a favorable word about the resolution of this issue. I think this was a generous offer, but he has declined.
So, here is the seller's information for future reference:
Steve Eller
Handle: cubanbelicoso
I guess I wait for the sky to fall now. :-*

Re: BAD EXPERIENCE
$14 to ship cigars is pretty damned high. I've shipped 2 heavy boxes Proirity for less. And as a matter of protocol, I always use a DC. It protects me as well as the buyer. I would think that any reputable seller would think as much.
I'm sorry to learn of your difficulties Trigger. I will keep a look out for this asshat and stay far away. Burn one of us, burn all of us!

There is simply NO excuse not to use Delivery Confirmation, especially when it is FREE when using USPS.gov to create the mailing label.
I would be highly suspect of anyone who neglected to use DC and then had a no-show problem (especially if there was agreement, as every buyer and seller should make clear during the bargaining process, that DC must be used.)
