Can someone plz tell me how to print usps shipping labels from my pc? I hate filling them out in pen...

Thanks, I just made a Pirate Ship account. but isn't there a way to do it through the usps site? Heres another dumb question. Do I have to use my own scale or is it possible to simply print the label at home then do everything else at the post office? If I remember correctly the weight is printed onto the label... So I assume I will need to get a scale?

On the usps.com site you will sign up and use click n ship.  As far as a scale...it depends...if you are sending flat rate, no scale needed as long as you stay under the max amount.  If you ship size and weight, yes you'll need one.  You can find some inexpensive scales on ebay or amazon that work fine for weighing most packages.  I don't believe it won't let you continue when filling out the label info at home before printing the label.
If it is an address you ship to often you can save it in your address book and only have to fill it out once.  For future can just click once and auto fill if you saved it.

One more question, If you guys are printing your own labels. What do you use? I know they make thermal printers specifically for labels. I bought some labels for inkjet printers but I'm not sure how well it's going to work. They honestly look much bigger than a standard shipping label...

Use pirateship. It's so freaking easy I've been using it for years and years I've literally shipped 1000 packages with them and you save about 30% off USPS. The labels print right on to regular printer paper and you can size them into any size you want. It could not be easier.

You can either have a little scale on your countertop or you can use your bathroom scale weigh yourself with and without the package and then subtract the weight as long as it's accurate enough. I always overestimate just a little bit. Never once had an issue and it's nice and easy from the convenience of your own home no thermal paper or special printing labels needed
