With CF being shut down, and with a lot of crazy things going on, there is a name that has been on my mind for a while now.
I never got the chance to meet or speak with him. But the way people spoke about him, I quickly learned that many people loved him.
The person's name (I hope that I'm right) was the late "Seth". He seemed like fun to be around and started or assisted in a lot of different efforts, especially for the kids in the D.R.
He passed away shortly before I got to CF, but I have never forgotten him. R.I.P. Seth, you showed me the right way to do things.

I think of Seth often. From our conversations on the phone, the funny voicemails that he left me, to the crazy adventures we had here and in the DR. A good man who lived life to the fullest. Gone but definitely not forgotten. Miss you bro! :'(

Great guy. He came to San Diego a few times, I was lucky to meet him.
I remember a trade we did. He really wanted some 1986 Robb Report Hemingways. I had some, but made him trade me 1 "holy grail, one-of-a-kind," Opus. Lets just say it was the most expensive Opus/cigar I've traded for ($450 in trade).
Here is a pic of the Opus: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yjpms2i85a072ua/IMG_0454.jpg?dl=0

@JL Miller - Do you recall if Seth attended the October 2015 SeaBAD? If so, I probably met him but didn't spend much time with him.

Not to derail from Seth, but who remembers Toby dying so quickly? I can't remember his screen name. (At least I believe Toby was his name from my memory). He was a younger guy, cancer came back and I went from messaging him on the daily, shipped out some cigars to him, and by the time he got them, he was already on hospice.

That's it. We always had spirited debates in the political room in addition to those via PM, but I felt so bad for him after hearing how negligent his doctors were. The guy had a Creatinine > 10 and they still didn't place a line for emergent dialysis. The cancer is what led to his sudden departure from us, but if his doctors followed up on him after his first bout with cancer anywhere near how they addressed his kidneys, the family would have won some money in a civil suit.
