Premium rate for age on cigars

My apologies if this is already in here somewhere, I am not good with the google-fu. I figure maybe if there is a previous post, it may not apply because of the current/coming shortages, plus what the BR are sales are showing.

What do you think the annual percentage increase for age should be when selling to an unknown person? I say unknown because if its a regular buyer or a friend, you may cut a break.

Ive hear/read in the past 5-10% over initial box price purchase each year depending on scarcity or regular production.

Is that out the door now?

These days, if you just match retail pricing, you're already at 5-10%/year ;)

BR is an auction site so the buyers set the price - don't think that is really comparable.

Cigars and bourbon have almost done better than the stock market.

I'd say 2021 was a 30-40% premium on "older" stuff.  Even more for Cohiba, EL, regionals, and other HTF stuff.....

New stuff, not as much.
