Cool.  Load up the inventory with minutos, panetelas, and marevas and this becomes a good thing.  Maybe resurrect the RA and ERDM PC and call it a day.

Yes they have.  All I can figure is the bigger sticks sell well, probably due to the consumers with deeper pockets also being part of the "look at me" set.  Also, if you discontinue a celebrated cigar (ERDM Tainos), you can resurrect it later as an RE and sell it for 3-5x the price.  HSA is, above all, a very capitalist organization.

The article states that they "will never sacrifice quality to meet demand" so things could end up getting worse before they get better, and it seems the word is out anyway so here comes the mad rush!

Just FYI, there are some like myself that mostly buy larger format cigars. Yes I have tons of smaller format, but when I get home from work, I like to smoke a cigar that lasts a long time, so I buy larger cigars. I smoke over 700 cigars a year, so this shortage bothers me even though I’m well stocked. So it looks like I need to start ordering.

I think cuban cigar prices will steadily increase this year and continue on.  Bet 10% by end of this year, another 10% in spring.

Based upon supply/demand, US policy towards embargo (i.e- more people "feel" it may be lifted or changed in some way), and general "fear" or knee-jerk reaction to about anything that has word CUBA attached.

I think the market shifting towards China is the bigger issue. India, Israel as well. I saw lots of Asian buyers in Havana at Christmas time but none of them were smoking. So if you see it going out the front door, its certainly going out the back. Added to that, Trump/Biden have placed executive orders so they cant move a dime electronically. "Its either bags of cash or send me another container full of worthless electronics". John
