Ya know, I get the commentary about the sky high starting bid prices on Bond Roberts. Eventually they may have to institute some kind of policy or fee, otherwise buyers will have to wade through thousands of "sucker" listings to find actual product available at market prices.
eBay figured this out many years ago, and the insertion fee has been around ever since. (A front-end fee they charge just for listing an item, regardless if it sells.) It came about not because eBay was trying to squeeze sellers for fees, but because they didn't want their site to turn into the local telephone pole that gets papered over with everyone's junk.
Maybe the dead weight listings will clean themselves up. But let the BR admins figure out what works best for them. It's their site, they have the ownership interest that will guide them into making sure sellers and buyers have a equitable market.
As for me, all my auctions will start at $1.00 with no reserve. Because I'm not looking for a sucker. Let good ol' supply and demand work its magic.
And don't message me bad mouthing anyone who is a winning bidder on one of my auctions. That's rude. I don't care if the buyer lucked into a box at $1.00 because the BR site had an outage or the final price was driven up by a wild last second bidding war. Both buyers will get free shipping from me, with the same care to packaging correctly, and prompt shipment. Because the free market can cut both ways, just the way it should.

100% agree. Have been a power seller on eBay and attended their conventions in Vegas and New Orleans when the Canadian dollar exchange added to our profit. The rules have changed and now completely in favour of buyers. So be it.
The FOH night sales first hit first get it nights a long time ago were great too. Still have boxes, perhaps 2009+ from those. Fun!
They could not keep the auctions going in-house effectively after trying for almost two years. And with approved locker stock. They then were going to have to deal with stuff internationally. Yikes.
Your plan sounds so rational. Good luck and I am a pretty good customer Of yours here, so hey, who knows lololol.
Best of luck brother!

Great points made.
Be sure and make deposits in all areas of your life, because at some point you will need to make a withdraw. No deposits are more important than those made in relationships.

Re: BR and Market Forces
the BZ has gone soft.
I fully expected to see a thread for miamipadronsmoker and blasting his $4k Siglo VI and $880 Siglo II. Why didn't anyone tell me my Siglo II boxes will age $100 per year and my VI's $400 per year?!
Its boring here

Ryan is right, so let's spice it up a bit then...
El Laguito Siglo VI at $4k is Trump's fault. You see, he's bullied TreasSec Mnuchin and Fed Chair Powell into pumping all kinds of liquidity into the Habanos market, which is artificially inflating prices.
Didn't I mention it? Powell was the buyer on my Royal Robustos.
Joe Biden will bring back all our discontinued favorites. H. Upmann Super Coronas, Ramon Allones 898, LGC MDO2, des Dieux. You name it. He even promised he'd bring back SLR Double Coronas, once he figures out how to get out of his basement.

I’ll be honest. Biden wasn’t my first choice. But if the dude brings back the MDO2, I’ll doorknock across Florida to make it happen.

So far Biden hasn't mentioned Punch Super Selection No. 2. Trump can reverse his standing in the polls if he promises to bring those back. Nothing suburban moms care about more than cabs of 50 ligero-heavy Punch cigars.
