Buyer Beware - Scumbag Vendor C1

Buyer Beware - Scumbag Vendor
www.cigarone.com

Unfortunately, after many successful transactions with Marc at CigarOne, I am left with little recourse on a deal gone sour.  I am sure many here have ordered from Marc successfully as well.

Marc shipped a large order I made in June 2019 in 2 packages.  1 package landed, 1 package got stuck in customs(USA).  This package has been stuck ever since July 14, 2019.  Marc and I agreed on arranging a replacement order which is common practice as he is a vendor who guaranteed delivery.

The last communication I received was September 18, 2019 and he has continued to ignore emails and phone calls.

Marc from CigarOne owes me a replacement order valued at $9368.80 and is not responding to me any more.  I have been very cordial and kind through this process, even offering to buy more cigars with the replacement to offset the loss.  I don't know what else could be nicer in his position.  But instead, he seemingly has decided to rip me off and ignore me.  Awesome...

If you feel so inclined, send him an email asking why he does not make good on his promise to a valuable customer.  Or at the very least, avoid buying from his site if you are expecting guaranteed delivery.
Cheers

Sounds similar to the a Hamburglar.

Never dealt with Marc but isn’t he tied in with CIC?

Sorry for your issue. That’s is no small sum

I bought from c1 a few times.  First couple boxes were beautiful.  Then a few weren't.  One got caught up in customs which he made right by replacing the box.  I went to make an order a couple more times and there was always this $50 "insurance fee" that would pop up when I'd go to pay.  I contacted him and he said it was because a box got returned from customs.  Even though he "guarantees delivery," turns out I'd have to pay it back anyhow.

I never returned to the site.

I have only dealt with C-one a few times because of their "Insurance" policy which is an added additional percentage charged on the order total and is required to get guaranteed delivery.  Difficult situation when a vendor does not honor their own policies, and sorry to hear about your issues with them Ryan....that is no small sum that can easily be written off or forgotten about.  I hope things work out in the end... and good luck.

UPDATE

Happy to report with the swarm of emails sent to C1, it got immediately elevated and a response was received this morning.
He has given me the full store credit i expected and I will pursue this with him to arrange a nice shopping spree today

Thank you for anyone who reached out to tell him to make it right.  BOTLs hit him hard and he responded.

Prior to this I have never had anything but fantastic experiences with C1.  Aside from a couple others I fancy, C1 had been the most consistent vendor I have bought from.

Hopefully its back to biz as usual

Cheers
