There's a box of Punch Churchills currently for sale, for $275.  The date code sounded familiar to me, so I checked my coolidor before leaving the house this morning....sure enough, I have two identical boxes.  These were on sale through a vendor about 3 or 4 months ago.  For $180......you could get TWO (2) boxes.

I smoked through the 1st box, spending at least 5 minutes on each stick trying to unplug it the best I could.  Not 1 stick I pulled from the box was unplugged.  It was unfortunate and a lesson learned.

I eventually threw out what remaining sticks I had from the 2nd box and kept the boxes for singles storage.

This is just a 'heads-up' for anyone looking into these cigars.  Maybe that's what the seller paid for them and is looking to recoop his investment.  Maybe not.  Either way, I felt I should let everyone know.

Thanks for the heads up RyJ.  This type of profiteering goes on all the time.  Really sad IMHO and a detractor from our community.

Pricing surprised me too, as I picked up a '98 Punch Churchill Tubos box not too long about for a shade over his asking price.  Infinitely better smokes than the sale churchills.

So here's an idea, start your very own web site and make whatever rules you like.  But when you're in someone else's house to break their rules and then critize them is rude at best.

god forbid somebody looks out for the newbies on the prowl for cc's.. Wouldnt that eventually HELP the integrity of the website in the longrun? instead of boasting short term rules for the benefit of the naked eye..

Maybe so, and then again, maybe not.  But that is not the issue I spoke to.  Again, the issue I spoke to was following the rules that our host would have us follow versus flagrently breaking them and being insulting and beligerant about it when challenged because of it.  Honestly, I would much prefer to be able to call, "bullshit", on the threads of gougers, scammers, profiteers, and the like for all to see.  But again, that is not the way our host wants it, so I obey his wishes.  To do otherwise and then become indignant when called on it is indeed rude at best.

Im glad that your going to start insulting my intelligence. You obviously know me pretty well... I would start to explain it (it actually wasnt that hard to understand), but i feel as if you dont give a shit..
