The so called 'cuban sale' cigars

Post by vallie123 »

I often see people on this forum who are selling CCs say that they are not cigars 'from any sales'.  What does that mean and how do you know if a box is from the so-called 'sales'?

I appreciate your wisdom in advance.

Every now and then you will see a vendor kicking out boxes of 00 and 01 cigars at extremely low prices because they are finding quite a few of the cigars in a box plugged. Its generally agreed the the 00-01 cigars represent a low point in rolling quality of Cuban cigars. So when you see fivers of this era at really cheap prices, plan on at least one of them being unsmokable.

There is more to it than that.  Some folks get really bent out of shape if they think someone is making money reselling cigars, so if they saw Vitola #z on sale at 50% off two months ago and someone shows up selling them at full price they get steamed up about it.  Personally I don't much care one way or the other, my position is pretty clear, if you don't like the price, don't buy it.  :boty:

So why is this so frowned upon. I have only been smoking for a year so I do not understand all the in's and outs yet
Why pay $100 on a therapy session when you can spend $25 on a cigar? Whatever it is will come back; so what, smoke another one.

My advise is to do some reading here, and at some other cigar boards.  That will spell it out a little clearer, TNT.
