Jfire....
Not a big deal, but the OR Angel Shares you offered for sale, are not. The OR's ASs second band was a yellowish cream color. It didn't change to red for quite a while. As I said, no big deal. I'm sure that it was an innocent mistake, but you might consider changing the price, being that they are not as represented. Just a thought :)

Re: Jfire....
Regardless if they are OR or not and it was a honest mistake (as I have no clue about Fuente), Jfire is one of the most honorable BOTLs out there. Anyone reading this, do not hesitate to deal with Jfire. If he would ever mess up, he would make it right.

Re: Jfire....
Don't think the robustos were included in the OR anyway. First release was Perfection X and RDC sizes.

Re: Jfire....
Jfire...your success at selling them quickly is no indication whatsoever of their authenticity. You were informed of this politely...."I'm sure that this was an innocent mistake". As it turns out, it seems that you went ahead and sold them as OR, which they still are NOT. You even admit that there was a release prior to yours. As it turns out, the goods you sold as OR, may very well have been the THIRD release. Do you really expect anyone to believe that a PM would have had any effect on your fraudulent sale ? BTW, the receipt you posted seems to prove that you were not guilty of profiteering, but that wasn't the issue I politely pointed out. Misrepresentation of the product for sale is an entirely different thing. The former I couldn't care less about...the latter is fraud.
AlohaStyle...while your loyalty to a friend is admirable, it turns out that you are/were incorrect. He did sell them as OR, and is just digging the hole deeper by insisting that they are. So he's not "making it right"...he's standing behind his misrepresentation. One sale of misrepresented cigars won't be grounds for inclusion on the scumbag list, but I guarantee folks will take his claims with a grain of salt in future. Your vouching for his integrity may very well result in the same for you, which would be a shame.

Re: Jfire....
For what its worth, the robusto size was indeed part of the original release in October 2012, but many retailers didn't receive boxes til early 2013, at least thats how it worked in the Detroit area. Comparing the photos from his ad to this halfwheel page of the OR Angels Share they look the same to me: http://halfwheel.com/opusx-angels-share-robusto The next Opus Angel Share release that I can remember was early 2015 and those didn't hit shelves til April in my parts. And if Emersons sold them as OR, they are definitely OR. Absolutely terrific online retailer and are beyond reproach. Early this year in December they decided to part with a dress box of Hyde and a dress box of Jekyll which they had been sitting on for over a year, so its not out of the ordinary for them to sell older stock that they've squirreled away at all.

Re: Jfire....
Not sure how you know what he would have done had you first sent a PM, but guessing the worst isn't the answer. At worst, he may have made a error and sounded to me like they were already sold prior to this thread. At also appears that what followed was his attempt to be transparent. I say this debate and any further action is best worked out between buyer and seller. Just my .02cents.

Wow you think I'm incorrect, all I said Jfire is one of the most honorable BOTLs I know and that I don't know, or care, about Fuente cigars. You commented well after his sale, how about you give him a minute to make it right, if in fact he needs to. Oh wait, he is being very transparent, said he will contact the buyer, and is being pretty good about this whole thread. Unlike you being a douche after the fact.
I am all for people here watching out for others, but as Jfire said, how about you prove these are not OR... which I honestly don't care because he sold them thinking they are and if they aren't, was a HONEST MISTAKE. Instead of insulting people, just prove it and move on.
And if you or anyone else questions my character from this thread and subject, I could care less.

Hey hutch,
You still have not proven they are not Original release. On top of that I'm finding the "secret fuente box codes" on forum posts. That this box ending in 32 may just be from 2012. (Google is indeed a wonderful thing. By comparing post of others on forums stating their Hemingway, etc boxes are 32 codes and they know they purchased that box in 2012.) Honestly a guy like you will not effect me at all. I'll contact the seller and point him to this thread. If he's not happy I'll buy them back. I'm not hurting for money that bad. I am as transparent at this point with my facts and honesty, as I can be.

Fuente's don't use date codes on the boxes. Codes match up the the bales that were used for that production run. Everything is done by bale number, not date.
