No, he didn't threaten anything, though I believe based on my understanding of some recent cases he could have.
I got pissed at having to try to clean up the thread rather than spend time with my family this weekend before I have to get on a plane and be gone for 3 weeks. I wasn't interested in reading it so I trashed the whole thing.
