What should I smoke for my wedding

Post by jarthurw »

Wanted to get your guys thoughts on this situation/hypothetical...

I am getting married next may and as most of you know there are a number of significant parties and gatherings that will be going on in the upcoming year.

I wanted to hear what you guys, in my position, would make sure to put on the "must find/smoke" list to celebrate the occasion.

(A list between 6-12 smokes)

Congratulations JArthurW! My lineup would probably be:

Don Arturo Gran Aniverxario
Don Carlos Edicion de Anniversario
God Of Fire (Carlito or Don Carlos)
Opus X Lancero
Opus X BBMF
Opus X Forbidden 13
Opus X Shark
Anejo Shark
Tatuaje TAA 2014
Padron (whatever your favorite family reserve, I love them all)
Liga Privada L40

Who knows? I'm a huge Opus whore. So that's why there's a lot of that from me. But for my money, an aged Opus X/Arturo Fuente is hard to beat.  I had a 2006 Reserva D'Chateau for New Year's Eve this year that was astounding. Had a 2012 Opus X RDC just a few weeks ago at a friends wedding, and it was amazing. I smoked on that one for at least two hours. Also had a 2007 GOF Carlito Double Corona a month or two ago that was also the handmade equivalent of a two hour magic carpet ride:

I'm not the most educated in Cubans, I've enjoyed most that I have had, but perhaps someone else can offer some CC suggestions. Either way, best of luck to you!

H Upmann Sir Winston
Ramon Allones Gigantes (get 2 of these)
Montecristo Especial (#1 AND #2)
Diplomaticos #2 with at least 5 years on it
Padron 45th (natural and maduro)
and I guess a Cohiba Esplendido to make the list complete

Congrats!

Cubans are cheap and most non cigar smokers think it's a big deal. There are always good deals on CC here at OLH.
