Flashback!

Post by WadeFillingame »

Beware nostalgia OD below...

Got my drivers license in 1976,

Bands I saw in Savannah...

I saw the Outlaws several times, and Green Grass and High Tides is in my opinion an anthem up there with Free Bird and Stairway to Heaven

A month and a half before this video I was there for their concert in Savannah:

And three months later they were gone.  :'(

Man, what ever happened to guitar solos?

Shows that stand out to me in the summer of '76 to summer of '78 time frame, I saw Skynyrd, (saw them for the first time in 75), Marshal Tucker, Charlie Daniels, Outlaws (that was one show), Peter Frampton opened for  Gary Wright (great show), Kiss, ZZ Top, and the Allman Bothers (Cher visible on the backstage with Greg)

There were others, but these jump out.

Consider yourself very lucky to have been able to see all those greats. Seeingg epic concerts/artists would definitely be a stop in my time machine. :bangin:

If you get a chance to see Joe Bonamassa, do it!
Be sure and make deposits in all areas of your life, because at some point you will need to make a withdraw. No deposits are more important than those made in relationships.
