It is America, right?  That's why you never sell something below market value.

Do you hold the same opinion of those evil people that flip stocks, houses, or any other commodity?
If all they do is raise the price without raising the VALUE of the product... then yes, yes I do. You Don't?

Adding value makes a difference, middling is and always will be fraud if you do nothing to increase the value before you sell it to the market. IMO

If you buy stock, gold, etc and sell at a higher price, you've done nothing to add value to that either.

I don't see why people get so butthurt about what others sell something for in their "hobby" as I see this attitude with cigars, firearms, ammo, you name it.

Buy low, sell high....It's the name of the game.  It's your choice to buy or sell for any transaction.

My issue is him posting here in search of something and then running to eBay to sell said boxes. I personally do not care what people buy or sell, but when you come here to take advantage of others who have no clue then you should be put in the limelight.

Who exactly is being taken advantage of?

The seller here agrees to sell a product at a given price. If that person then goes on ebay and turns around and sells it for a higher price, nobody is forcing him to pay that. It's called free will.

We're in a hobby that SHOULD be something we indulge in with funds used after we take care of our basic necessities. We're not talking about poor people having to pay inflated prices for real necessities like food in a secondary market, much like buying PGR's here and receiving fingerprinted/rebanded Lusi's is what I call "taking advantage of someone."
Nobody is butthurt over this. You asked a question and I gave an answer. YES I do hold stockbrokers as middlers who add nothing of value to stocks and I believe the problems in the stock markets in the last few years with micro second trading and such can be attributed to these types of people and behaviour.

He is NOT selling something of his from his hobby collection. He is trying to sell something that he doesn't even have in his possesion. I do believe that is actually fraud.

Is it OK for a Realtor to put your house on the market after you put it up for sale? What if they were able to get you your money? Does that change the reality that they sold something of yours without your permission? If permission is given and the seller is looking for the flipper to widen the market exposure, then I guess you could argue that value of sorts was added in that case.

No permission to sell someone elses products seems to have been given in this case, since the seller is still looking to buy these items he wants to then flip for profit.

How do you know he doesn't have something on hand and just ISO more to flip?

I know several people that buy items from garage sales , Goodwill, etc and resell on ebay, my wife included. Who is she taking advantage of?

If nothing was said he would be taking advantage of others as well. Guy deserves to be called out.

I guess some people just fancy themselves entrepreneurs, but are unable or unwilling to truly start their own business and so resort to talentless middle-manning.

Me, I like getting a good deal so cars, cigar trades, houses, professional services, whatever I always back off on the price a little.  Golden rule, I guess.
