Happy National Hotdog Day!

How do you like your dog? I'm a Chicago Style Portillos or Gene and Jude's kinda guy. Too bad I live so far away.

I love Chicago style hotdogs!

There is this place in NOLA called Dat Dog. They make the buns and everything else in house.

Japadog FTW.

Standing room only in Vancouver. Cool experience and great dogs.

Terimayo Dog with Shichimi garlic frys. Awesome!

[/quote]You live in Vancouver Canada? That is a long drive for a hotdog for me. I love the dogs at Yankee stadium, and the dogs at Lucky Dog on bourbon street are great when you are bombed out of your mind. Chicago Dog at Wrigley field is a religious experience. I like doing Brat's on a roll with some grilled onion at my house.

No. But Vancouver is a great vaca/wknd away spot. Gorgeous and tons of stuff to do. That's where I was introduced to the Japadog. Good stuff.
I'm a sucker for a Johnsonsville brat fresh off the barbie as well. I actually like dogs that are doctored up. But with a brat, I like them plain on a extra toasted bun.<--critical!

Bummer that a Johnsonville brat is just about one of the worst things you can possibly eat. It has pretty much every bad food/ingredient covered. LOL

I know. We suck. We have an amazing butcher near buy with legit goods and excellent prices(except beef jerky $21/lb ???).

Thanks for the link. Any recommendations from there?

I'm partial to the Sonoran hotdog at Mi Nidito in Tucson. Adam Richmond stopped by there during one of his episodes. The hotdog comes in what I call a canoe style bun. Delicious. Never had anything midwest/east coast.
