UNTAPPD beer app

Post by James40 »

Anyone using this app? I don't know if it's available for android but I especially like the beer suggestions for similar beer. Feel free to add jamespz03 if you have it or plan to use it.

Untappd is a lot of fun. Chasing badges has you trying a bunch of different beer and spending a bunch of money!!! I've been on a little over a year. If anyone cares I'm FlynnII1 friend me and I'll do the same. I've done quite a few beer trades on Untappd,  my buddies and I can get three Floyd's pretty regularly where I'm at, so that helps with trades.

I'm kxthor911 on untapped. Feel free to add me as well. I do like the app, I have recently tried more beer than I ever thought I would. I find that I like sours.

Added you --^.

I've been eyeing sours for awhile now but just have not pulled the trigger on one. Do you recommend anything in particular, especially for first timers?

I have only had three so far as they are htf in the area. Monks cafe Flemish ale and petrus aged ale are the two I really recommend. They are expensive here around $4 for a 11-12 ounce bottle. I see them at specs and local beer stores. I also had a weizen by hitachino that was sorta a tart style beer that was pretty good. The petrus was voted beer of the year in 2011, it says that on a few of the bottles. Let me know what you find.
