Best way to ship singles or 5vers

Post by ryko3321 »

Bit of a newbie question but new to the forum.  As far as shipping singles and 5vers what is the best way to do it as far as packaging, boxing and form of shipping.

Thanks!

USPS Small Flat Rate Boxes and a little bit of bubble wrap seems the be the standard for 5 -10 sticks. I'm sure someone around here has a clever strategy for shipping any amount less than that

I do the same.  USPS flat rate box.  Have received some sent first class in bubble envelopes without any problems, but I would not use that method myself.

We have shipped singles before internationally in thin walled plastic pipe to avoid using boxes, and using envelopes. Size does matter when going international and on the customs form you can always declare pvc pipe samples!

Just make sure to use a bag or some kind of saran wrap or something. I know I hate seeing cigars with no protection like that.....really makes me cringe. One time a guy sent me a 5er from Greece with no baggie, in an envelope, and inside an extra 5x5 box he had. They actually made it with no cracks....a bit dry though.

usps small flat rate.  open an account with usps and print postage online and they discount from $5.85 to 5.15.  put them in a sandwich bag tape the bag ends over so they cant move around much.  wrap in a layer or two of bubble wrap.  they fit perfect inside the box and are water proof.

Everyone should use 5 finger bags IMHO. For loose sticks.
