With all the buzz that's generated and perpetuated by non cc's-I'm always turned off initially as a cigar smoker due to the obvious ploy of marketing and all the jackals who are waiting in the wings with their frothy fangs salivating in anticipation of jumping on here and posting the latest and allegedly greatest htf or rarities they've gotten their meat hooks on. I must admit as a lover of cigars cc's & non cc's alike....I am as guilty as the next chap in having the impulse to pursue the latest stuff that comes out-however in the last year I've practiced what little discipline I have and waited a bit after releases to get things I may have initially wanted to have jumped on, which brings me to the cigar in the subject. A beautiful cigar out of the coffin in the FFOX opus 22 2012 set. A whopping $53 after taxes at my local B&M. Nice light silky smooth wrapper, excellent construction as is to be expected from fuente on any opus they offer. Draw is good-lots of smoke. Burn is good and mostly even however if you don't draw atleast every minute to two minutes it will need to be relit. Notes are cedar-wood-leather with undertones of opus spice. Quite frankly I experienced a Reseva d' Chateau with a Don Carlos blend....which makes me a little sad as to the price attached to this allegedly special cigar. It's a nice cigar at lets say $20-$25, however at the price it's disappointing as with most of these overpriced-overhyped-overrated cigars.
