Unbelievable that a man has to pay for lawyers to defend himself in court against this. While I'm not surprised I am appalled.

Damn, couldn't even finish reqading the artical. This is truly sad. Poor guy is having to spend his own $ to defend a patriotic act. Scary thing is that in this day and age, he might actually have to worry about losing the case. PAthetic.

I might be a mexican, but any reasonable man can see that this is idiotic on behalf of those wetbacks...bloody disgusting.
Why do humans continuously state and repeat the very very obvious, as in: "It's a nice day", or "You're very tall", or "Oh dear you seem to have fallen down a thirty-foot well, are you all right?"

Next time maybe he'll just shoot the fuckers and let nature handle the rest of the problem. Can't get sued that way.

There are two sides to every story - http://www.splcenter.org/intel/news/item.jsp?aid=93
Threatening to shoot 9 and 11 year old girls for trespassing? Yeah, he's a real american hero.
A person has a right to protect their land, but holding people at gunpoint for what amounts to trespassing and littering is pretty extreme. The immigration aspect is really not his problem, it's the government's.

Who the hell do you think "the government" is!!???!! ???
This is the concept that 90% of America has failed to remember, WE are the government. (...government of the people, by the people, for the people... A. Lincoln 1863) The people in government positions are chosen by US to do certain jobs, but they are supposed to SERVE at OUR sufferance, not the other way around.
Attitudes like the one you have voiced here are responsible for the runaway government we have today.
As for shooting little girls, I've pretty damned sure that 9 and 11 yo children aren't doing solo crossings.

Read the article I linked. He really did hold two young girls and their father (incidentally, american citizens) at gunpoint and tell them he would kill them if they didn't get off of his (apparently vast and barren) property.
As far as who "the government" is, if you really believe that, just try and go find out who owes back taxes and try to collect. You should be able to, you are the government, right? It's never going to happen. Likewise, Barnett isn't an agent of the state. Owning land and a gun doesn't make one a qualified agent of the state.

Re: Unbelieveable ....
He held several armed trespassers of privately held land that is commonly used by illegals to enter into the US illegaly at gunpoint, and he is sued for it & looses. What a sad, sad comentary indeed.
I am no racist and see no reason at all to demean these or any other folks because of their race or country of origin, so I cannot say I agree with these behaviors. But detaining these folks and trying to bring them to justice? Absolutely.

You're kidding right? "of", "by", and "for". It's pretty simple really.

Again, you must be joking. The US Constitution, the highest law of our land, and more specificly the Second Amendment, states clearly that we are all members of the malitia. i.e agents of the state. Any Jr. High School student knows this, it's only grown-up leftist liberals that seem to forget.
