KL or any other dessicant works fine so long as it is odourless. Some people remove the blue crystals, I don't bother. I also just use ladies nylons to hold the beads, or even large, flat glass dishes.

KL for me, too. Blue crystals have no adverse affect. I maintain many small 100-150 count humidors with these, and even a 1,500 count cabinet (just KL, no active humidification device). Perfect 65% all the time!
But you already knew that, Joewoowoo!

Hey! How come "Habana" is written on here with a Sharpie ?!?

You use it right out of the bag or do you have to "train" it to hold 65%?

2-4mm polymers seem to work for many as well.
I use KL in desktops.

I tried the KL route. Did not work for me. I think it works a lot better at absorbing moisture than letting it out. My cabinet sat at 63% for a little while but is now at 56% and dropping. Spraying more distilled water did not help. Got 3 lbs of HF beads heading my way. Hope it saves the day...
