I'm seeing a LOT of boxes going up for sale that are the exact same Marca/Vitola and box codes that were on sale for 70%, 60%, and so on.  I'm seeing the boxes being sold here, and elsewhere, at the full price.  Maybe, just maybe these exact same boxes weren't purchased at the discount, however it's very hard to believe that isn't the case.

I've heard if I don't like the price someone posts, then move on.  However, I don't like seeing others being taken advantage of in such a way. 

True BOTL don't take advantage of other B/SOTL.

Nicely stated Greg. I could see a rare item like tat blacks-ect. going for a premium, but the buy one at 60% of and get the second free going for full price is a bit shady IMHO.

It was a LOT worse a few months back when there were one or two members that seemed to be making a side business out of this type of thing.  Kind of rubbed me the wrong way as well.  Now sure why I kept quiet about it except that Wade has made it quite clear that such practices are not to be challenged on this, (his), site.  Also I guess, to some degree I do subscribe to the, "If you don't like the price just keep movin'" theory.  Gouging does bother me though I must say.

Well stated by both of you, yet I differ a bit on the blacks.  I can't recall seeing a bundle of Blacks being sold for under 375 or so period.  Retail on them (and I know you may not care about MSRP) was $13.00 per stick originally, however I believe the bundles sold for about $250 depending on where you got them.  That is a 50% markup ABOVE the msrp.  To me that is unacceptable.  I will pay  a premium just like anyone else for a rare item, but I won't be taken advantage of in the process.  You realize that it is these people and this type of practice that made Pete stop selling the Blacks in bundles altogether.  I would rather someone buy a product at a discounted rate and charge me normal retail than someone purchase something for no other reason than to redefine gouging. I see that you could say the same thing about the free box scenario, but how am I being hurt by paying regular retail?

You have a slight misconception regarding the rules here.  The now somewhat famous rule 7 is that you don't post negative posts in the TSBC.  This room you can call someone a gougingfuctardsonofabitch till your fingers bleed and I don't care.

As stated, people can sell for whatever price they want, however it should be known that these boxes were just on sale for these prices:

Punch Coronas - $49 per box
Partagas de Partagas No. 1 - $55 per box
Hoyo de Monterrey Churchills - $67.45 per box
Partagas Churchill Deluxe - $89 per box

Box codes were from 99, 00, or 01. 

Thanks Wade for giving me somewhere to put this.  There may be some that appreciate this information, and some that don't.  I'm just doing what I feel is right by those that are, or are about to be, gouged to hell and back.  I know I would surely appreciate someone letting me know.  I just wish there was a way to let folks know to look in here before they go to buy.

Thank God I am not the only one that was a bit pissed about this...  Since I couldn't say anything in that section of the forum, I was sure to mention it to the BOTL on the other forums I post on so that they wouldn't be gouged like that!
