Have smoked partagas salamones (very good), Partagas Serie D #4 (BIG FAN)Bolivar Belicoso Fino, Bolivar Gigantes.

Im a robusto fan...so shoot me straight. What should I get or try?  All suggestions welcome, and please give me a why as well.

Thanks in advance,

LOL :nana:

Seriously though, if I wanted to get some recent production robustos/hermoso #4's, I'd go BRC, HUC1, PSD4, and JL2, probably in that order. CoRo, Trini T, & Epi 2 have been hit or miss, and the rest of the robos either need a ton of time (VR, ERDM) or are complete dumpster fires (RyJ, MC Open). Haven't had SLR Regios in a while but that cigar never wowed me in the past.

Just my two cents.

Cohiba Robustos, but if you get a fresh box, you shouldn't even think about smoking them until 2018. If you do, you are a pedophile and you will be banned.

For some reason over time I have aquired alot of Bolivars and I dont even particularly like the marca, but the BRC is one of my favorite robustos. Full Flavored with a mild spice and tons of smoke production.

Wanted to post more thoughts on your thread.

I am surprised that nobody mentioned the Ramon Allones Specially Selected. I really enjoy them

Partagas Serie D No. 4 is loved by many, but I do not like them at all. Go with the majority (90% +) and give them a try.

I really like the R y J Short Churchill and they smoke nice out of the box.

Half the Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure No.2's that I have smoked have been great, the other half were so-so. Maybe you have to be in the mood.

SLR regios, age well and smoke decent fresh. HDM Epicure no. 2 very consistent and age nicely. RASS need age, but are better in a fifty cab fresh. I love H. Upmann connie 1 age well and smoke good fresh.
