A question for the board...

Post by smokinpeace »

What are your thoughts about selling a box of cigars that have draw issues for a discounted price here?  I would make the draw issues known as part of the FS listing so there would be no surprises.  I have not seen this done on the board so I wanted to know others thoughts before I put them up.  These are not sale cigars and are genuine.  Do you think as long as everything is up front and disclosed that this is acceptable?  Thanks for your input.

IMHO, if you know that there have been draw issues in a certain box and you want to sell the remainder of the box, you should note your experiences in the FS post.

Agreed.  And please remember... these would be sold at a discount.

As long as everything is disclosed buyer beware but I don't understand why someone would want to even bother at the end of the day I'd want someone to be able to enjoy what I sold them...

I think it is a question of value.  They might enjoy them if they are at a significant discount and some of the cigars smoke perfectly.

I don't see an issue with it.  Hell, some people sell "sale cigars" at a markup.

As long as there was full disclosure I'm good with it.

I would include a statement to help mitigate any potential issues, such as sold "as is" or something to that affect.

As has been stated, full disclosure would mean a lot since some would not mention it at all.  I might describe the "issues" by stating whether they were just tight or plugged.  If plugged I would include % plugged based on my experience within the box.  Nice to see someone who wants to be upfront.

I completely agree on both counts.

Thanks for the input gents.  Not sure if I will sell them yet but nice to hear others thoughts.  If I put them up, I will be very clear about what I have experienced from the ones I smoked and they will be priced right.  Thanks again.
