What's up with a vendor on here...

Post by grateful1 »

@amsgpwarrior Temple, TX

Boutique Cigar Distributor for Rodrigo, Emilio, and Panacea Cigars. Wine/Spirits aficionado.

Just a heads up.

I should add...it seems odd that he's not said he's a Cigar Distributor.
It could be a little miss leading.

And a bad trader comment from June.

"I offered to buy some cigars from amsgpwarrior and he accepted the offer only to back out of the deal because someone offered him more money.  I feel that once you accept an offer you should go through with it. There has been a lot of discussion on this in the Battle Zone "New Gougers" thread."

I have never bought anything from him, because I always thought his prices were a little high on the high side, or so I thought.  I know its a little odd that he is a distributor, and selling here, and never bothered to mentioned that fact, but is that against the rules ?  I did a quick read of the rules and didn't see that distributors weren't allowed to sell here, but maybe I just missed it when I glanced over them.  Either way, it does seem a little underhanded that he never mentioned being a distributor or retailer.

Not posting about it regarding 'rules'.

More that I saw BigCle's review and started to look around....not good form on the sellers part.

I completely agree.... we have a lot of good investigative eyes on this site.  Good catch.

Anybody know the seller "Diesel"?  PM'd on the 3rd about his sale, he replied on the 7th asking if I was still interested.  I say yes and its three days later and no reply.  Not purchasing from him it doesn't look like.

I just completed a transaction with Ron...it took about two weeks to complete, and I did follow up once, and he had a small delay. But, I got what I paid for in excellent condition. I would deal there again.
Seems on the up, may just move at a slower pace than most of us electronic age, on-line stogie mongers. :cheers:
Into cigars since 2008, well respected at cigarbid.com, but no trade records are kept there.

Worked out a deal with him. Not the quickest PM exchange but it was there. All paid and I'm waiting for the package.

Not against the rules here at all AFAIK, nothing wrong with a vendor setting up shop.  I'm surprised more have not done so.
