I have a question to pose to the group as I'm interested in your perceptions. As a disclaimer, I'll first say that I understand the some sellers may not be reaching the level of sales for a month at which point Wade has stated that he would like the seller to consider a donation to the site. However, that same seller may be consistently selling hundreds of dollars of cigars for months or years, yet they have never financially supported the site.
With that out of the way, the question is: What does it say to you, concerning a seller who fits the description above? Do you do business with the seller? If so, or not, is this even something you consider when purchasing?
I promise I'm going somewhere with this, but I wanted to elicit some unbiased feedback prior to divulging my point. I've noticed something that seems pervasive where members that seem to continue to be topics in the BZ are concerned.
If you are thinking this is just an attempt to promote contributions or gain favor, then please just move along.

I prefer to see the spinning coin when I buy, it reflects a level of appreciation for the site that I respect. I have actually contributed myself, as I have done several transactions here, but I guess it went unnoticed. No spinning coin for me... :'(
Into cigars since 2008, well respected at cigarbid.com, but no trade records are kept there.

Not sure what level of contribution is necessary, but with being a noob, I'd probably purchase from you.
I'm talking about posts in the hundreds and several sales every month for a while.

Re: Site Supporter.....or NOT?
I like to think the feedback in my profile gives a clear picture of my trade/buy/sell reputation.
I kinda figured it takes a certain dollar amount to acheive shiny metal, spinny goodness. Someday...someday.
To the question at hand...all sites require money to operate. This is a valuable, unique tool to have for the cigar hobby, and I want it to be around for a while. Hence, I appreciate when others contribute to its continued existence.

Actually, I wasn't even thinking of him, as I wouldn't even give him the time of day, much less my money.

Generally speaking, I agree with this sentiment. And in regards to repeat sellers that apparently don't contribute (i.e., no spinning coin), I am much less likely to purchase from them, unless my desire for their particular product overwhelms me, in which case, I try to make a contribution myself.
