I do not actually disagree with the point made by the article you referenced. Notice that in my original post, I do not actually disagree with the idea that the media has a liberal bias.

What people here do not seem to enjoy is being told that the "truth has a liberal bias", or "facts have a liberal bias". The subtext of this being that conservatives (particularly this new breed of Trump and/or Tea Party conservatives, not the old school fiscal conservatives) cannot appreciate the difference between actual truth and whatever information that agrees with their opinion.

So sure, in an effort to respect truth, I'll admit that the media has a liberal bias, but you, in pursuit of that same respect for truth, have to admit that CNN (and every other news source Trump lambasts) is not "fake news" just because they disagree with Trump's political message on a daily basis.

In other words, whether or not the media is liberally biased as a whole, does not change the fact that they may be reporting the truth anyway.

If you cannot agree to that then any source of truth via the media, even in a conservatively biased media, would be lost on you.

The "ouch" was with regard to not only printing a retraction but additionally having to pay damages.  That's the ouch part.

After seeing the latest out of VA (Gov, LtGov and AG all being accused of or admitting transgressions of one form or another) I believe that the sharks in the feeding frenzy have started to turn on one another.

What's even funnier is that the next in line to everyone with trangressions is a Republican...that would really sting to the Dems if he got the governorship of VA.  :o
