Uhhh, is this a thing now?  Is there something I've missed before?

Because getting people to put 75% down, for cigars you don't yet have in hand, seems like a pretty comfortable position to be in?  I mean, I sell off some of my Jorgito Monsdales and Robusto Largos and Yolanda Piramides occasionally too.  But, it's all stuff that I have in hand, personally...

...75% down for a yet-to-be-guaranteed order seems fairly well-off.

He will skip back to FOH like nothing ever happened.

While I do enjoy FOH, it is a safe haven for scum.

You surely recognize the irony of someone on OLH accusing another board of being a “haven for scum”.

He's not wrong, though.  There are a handful of what I would consider quasi-regulars over there who have a history of questionable behavior in other forums, including OLH.  I love FOH for what it is.  They value civility above all else, which can be refreshing on the internet.  But one of the drawbacks of not allowing any kind of drama or conflict is that the scum and douchebags know they won't ever get called out.

You will never guess who just got bounced from a FB cigar auction group for non response after winning an auction? They even gave him 96 hours.

I sincerely hope nothing it truly/medically wrong, but I kind of doubt it.

It took me over two weeks to follow up, actually.

Yes, I had a work thing that was going on then, but that wasn't the issue.  My Mom had a very serious medical issue, and it took me offline for over two weeks handling family stuff with that.

I did follow up with the FB group admins after, and I understood and accepted their reasoning, and the rules are what they are.  They did want to know what was up, and I did point out though, that they did have my cell # for texting, and no one texted me in the interim (I don't have e-mail connected on my cell), nor did anyone notify either of my two sponsors into that group (who can/do text me all the time), so there wasn't a big attempt to contact me.  Again though, I freely accepted that it was my onus to follow-up on it, and it was me who was offline for two weeks, and shit happens.

I did try to contact the seller afterwards even (he resold about a week in), and tried to make multiple attempt to cover any losses / etc due to my inattention, but he was extremely understanding and refused to make an issue over it all.  All involved were very understanding, but private group rules are what they are, so it was all understandable and amicable.
