Re: Black Coffee is not so bad....
I only drink variations of cafe au lait. I've done the espresso and black coffee no sugar thing, and they just aren't as enjoyable. On a low carb diet, so I have this little battery powered whisk thing I use that whips the heavy cream, then I pour the French Market Coffee and Chicory blend at double strength on top. I can only be a snob at so many things, and coffee doesn't do enough for me to warrant the effort. Grew up on this stuff since I was an infant, so no reason to change now.

I'm super late to this convo but i take my coffee black. I can't tell between good and mediocre coffee. but I can tell if it's made from something like sanka.
also. if anyone's interested in coffee from Hawaii, lemme know and we can work something out.

Re: Black Coffee is not so bad....
My BIL saw me grab a cup of joe and add c&S when we were going on the patio for smoke, and told me to try it without. Well, that ended the c&s in my coffee, now it's black at all times. I wouldn't say that the additions ruin the coffee, but I definitely enjoy the flavor and aroma more black than drinking a cup of hot sweet milk.
