Well, he just pm'd me with a dc# and said he's on his way to the post office. I made him aware of this thread earlier. So, hopefully he turns out to be legit. At least he pm'd me back.

He has almost always sold a few small packs first and built street cred, like a long con but not that long.  Keep in mind also Don was active on the boards for years before imploding so he knows the ins and outs pretty well

Exactly...its part of the whole scam to build confidence and trust first...which is done by selling 5ers and piddly sales...later on comes the higher end stuff that people end up getting stiffed on.  This Don guy is like a cat, and he has at least 9 lives.

Lol...I almost feel like you shouldn't have told him about Phil's caution here until you received the smokes. Now that he knows that he was found as a scammer, he has no incentive to make whole on the transaction, whereas when he was trying to build cred, there was.

That's what I was thinking. At least be able to check on another board where there is feedback. If none, they must send first.

Yeah here is the problem though... lets say we don't call him out right now.  Maybe he sends these guys their $35 in smokes maybe not but that certainly gives him more time to disappear with a bigger sum of money, list a few more sales etc if he is just going for a quick hit this time.  I felt it would be better to end this incarnation of his right away to minimize damage (and it isn't like we need to build a bigger case against him for scumbaggery).  I don't want to be the one explaining to someone next week why the $500 they just gave this guy for a box of opus or something is gone forever and nobody gave them a heads up.
