I can't wait for his response.  I am willing to bet he'll go with, "It's Cali prices bro."

Wholesale price for a box is $117.14.  Cali excise tax is 31.74%.  This makes the box $154.62 before the retailer marks it up.  Mark it up 33% which is industry standard and you have $231.93.

Why don't you guys drop a dime to the ATF or California state taxation department. Someone is profiting without paying sales tax. Just sayin'

You might consider hanging out here a bit before you start dropping suggestions all over the place.  Selling ISOM cigars isn't exactly legal either in the US.

"Thanks everyone!  (If you're wondering why I'm selling everything off, it's because I'm giving up my collection to get hitched... sigh~)"

I guess he is buying the ring and paying for the wedding on profits he makes.LOL These prices are ridiculous.

Just noticed that his wedding sale is now three days old, has been bumped and lowered twice, and not ONE of his 21 boxes has sold.  Guess folks are tired of getting ripped off.  When he's done it will be ....goodbye and good riddance.

Not trying to make a profit. Selling at what I bought them for, or below most of the time.  I don't usually have the same connections that most do and get Opus' and things like that at or under MSRP like most people here do.  I pay the $20 for a double-robusto, $17 for a XXX, and so-on like the general public does.  I'm usually, almost always, paying premium prices and CA taxes.  (other than when I find a good deal here.)  Just trying to get rid of a ton of stuff I know I don't need, usually at a loss and shipping out-of-pocket.  I know some prices are high, but I paid those prices, which were the "going rate" at the time of purchase.

Obviously I wish I could get the same prices back for them, but know I can't and usually don't.  That's my mistake, so again, I usually take losses on them.  I don't get mad at anyone for not buying, so I don't really expect people to get mad at what they're listed at.  But what I do sell, I do my best to make sure people get what they pay for, packed extremely well/safe, and take the extra effort to make sure whoever/buyers are happy.  A lot of the stuff I post is below MSRP/going-rate anyways, so I don't see where the problem is.  But if anyone is upset with the prices, I'm sure thats why people don't buy and why I need to drop the prices and take further losses frequently.  I learned the hard way about "best offers", so I don't post saying "shoot me an offer".  Some people do though, and usually end up happy.

Anyways, I don't think it makes me a bad guy.  Just a guy that has way more cigars than he really needs and would prefer to move them for a better purpose.  That's all.  If I've offended anyone by some of my prices, then I'm sorry.  But if you look, there is a LOT worse throughout different threads.  Just saying.

By the way.. When I say "last box.. " or whatever, it really is at that time.  Then I happen to get another one and share by offering what I paid.

For example, I bought 3 boxes of Unnamed for $350, $370, and then another for $380 (all at different times).  I asked $80 shipped for a fiver.  Making it $400 total, shipping 5x.  I ship/insure UPS, buy packaging material, use expedited shipping at times, so that's about $50-80 or more for shipping alone.  So that leaves me with at $320-350 per box in the end.  I don't see the profit there.  I see stupidity and no business-sense, but I'm not trying to make "business", but rather sell off and share what I have.  I try to "share the wealth", but then called a "horrible botl".  Doesn't make sense...

Another example, I recently bought 20 Casa Fuente Lanceros for $500 shipped.  I just sold a 10-pack for $230 shipped and insured, 2 or 3-day shipping ($25+).  I wouldn't call that "ripping people off".  Another example, I'm offering a set of Padron Family Reserves for $120-125/shipped for 7 cigars where the even at MSRP plus CA taxes, it totals WAY above that  Again, that's not "ripping people off".

I just don't get it.  I list things at right around what I bought them for or usually less, then go down from there.  Thats not even including shipping/insurance through UPS (since most people stuff cigars in a small USPS flat-rate box and call it a day, where I'll ship 10-lanceros in a shoe-box sized box; buying extra packaging materials, packing peanuts, and etc. to make sure they're safe)

If someone was selling  a box of B-Rex or Tenderloins for $500, everyone would be all over it and not say a word.  But because I have certain items for sale that some people don't want, they say I'm ripping people off (since they wouldn't pay those prices).  I'm not a retailer, I don't have wholesale connections, or anything like that.  I buy cigars, obviously more than I really need, then end up selling them since I realize I don't need that many.

It's funny, but I just realized that a couple of the people on here complaining  the most are people that wanted to buy stuff, but ended up not getting them from me for one reason or another.  Hahaha.

Still want me to "save the sharks" for you??  Or should I wait for the CA Taxation Board to show up?  Let me know since you've been messaging me almost every day asking about them, yet asking $210+ for an open box of Feral Pigs.  I asked $150'ish for the sealed-box I had, and paid just that from Cuban Crafters in Miami.  Who's ripping who off now?

Also, I didn't even make close to anything on that box.  I didn't even open the signed box.  I regretting selling it after I bought it because I didn't get to try it.  I used expedited UPS shipping, insured it, bought packing materials, and more, basically breaking even.  Ask the guy himself and see who's ripping people off right now?  I just bought from him a few times this past month.  He's also the one that said he would let me buy-back a stick or two at what I sold them for plus throw in a 10-year old Opus, but stopped responding.  He only started responding again when I wanted to buy some stuff he was selling for a large profit himself.  But, I guess you're just still upset that your "offer" you're giving me crap about wasn't what I was looking for.  I told you when you offered that I was mostly looking for cash, and that I was sorry but had to take an cash offer instead of a trade.  If you're still mad about that, I'm sorry.  I'll even send you a stick if that makes you feel better since I got another box (in which I took another loss).  I'm not into making profits, but rather the hobby of it and enjoying trying new cigars.  I make money by working a normal job.  Not by selling cigars.  It's a hobby that involves money, but theres nothing I can do about that.

Next time, Maybe I'll post pictures/receipts/screen-shots of the prices I paid for the items.  I'm sure that'll resolve all these misconceptions.  I've never ripped anyone off, scammed any, or anything close to that.  And I don't plan on doing so.  As a matter of fact, I just sold the sealed box of DC Lanceros for $280 shipped (shipping was $25 for 3-day shipping so it wouldn't be in transit too long).  I paid more than that alone.  I also sold a fiver of OR Magnum R44's for $35 shipped.  Shipping came out to $8.79.  That's about $1.50-2.00 under retail per stick, and what I paid.  What a rip-off!!!!!  ?????

This coming from the same guy that loved TAAs and sold multiple boxes every other day.  "Oh I love these cigars but I have to sell them."  Each new box he acquires, the price goes up.  I get it.  You sell enough boxes to get a couple for yourself for free.  If you think your the first person to do this and no one has seen this before, you are very naive.  Don't try to BS people.  It's not becoming.....
