No box codes. These ain't CC's ;)

Pre-Release: primary band is black/red(like a Forbidden X band). No secondary band. Black ribbon on the foot
OR: Primary and secondary are white/cream bands. No Foot ribbon.
All others released after, have the same primary as OR and a red secondary band.

Any reference different than above is inaccurate. Whether intentional or not.

Case closed

FWIW, There was a box of OR auctioned off at CF and it was NOT deemed a "special" box. It was "Original Release Angels Share Robustos" and they had white/cream secondary bands. 2013 Auction I believe. I remember this specifically because people wanted to know if it had the white bands, which it did.
Be sure and make deposits in all areas of your life, because at some point you will need to make a withdraw. No deposits are more important than those made in relationships.

True OR's had no Angel Share band.  They were not done.  Carlito gave me Angel Share lanceros in 2012 with upside down Opus bands so he would know they were not regular Opus blend sticks.

Not trying to start shit, but how can you call those OR? They were never released with backwards bands on, nor were they ever released with any sort of black forbidden band, which I've also seen. I've also personally seen the 5.5" x 54 "Angel Share" that was a test blend. Can't call that OR either cuz that size was never officially released. Those are all pre-release versions of the stick. I only know of a few boxes of specifically made cream colored Angel Share boxes that went for special occasions and it was all, to my knowledge, pre-release stuff. I don't count Opus 6 sets, Opus 22 sets or the specially made Prometheus humidor that cost some obscene price to be an original release.
I used to have a few DE test blends, including some sticks that were later released but at the time hadn't been. I also had some sticks that ended up getting renamed by the time the release rolled around. I wouldn't say I had an OR MF13, cuz that wasn't an official release, nor would I say I had a OR JD4 and so on and so forth.

Mastershake...you are mistaken. The band you call gold was on cigars SOLD prior to the red bands...nothing pre-release about them. They were released to be sold. And as to my second post...it was a response, meaning a reply to a post above mine. I believe I even quoted which post I was responding to  :) I'll type slower though, just for you.

Excellent straw man argument you've created there, bud. All I said about the second post is that you insinuated Jfire was scummy, which was a bush league move that was totally unnecessary. And thanks for filling me in on what a response is, good looking out. I was about to pull out Webster's to try to Sherlock Holmes that mystery, so good thing you were gracious enough to drop knowledge. And for the record you didn't quote the post. Perhaps I should type slower so you can keep up with what I'm saying, instead of creating an disparate argument about whether or not your post was a response. I'm sure you think that you're being magnanimous, but you really come off as a pompous ass keyboard warrior type when you post this kind of shit.

So... Here's what we can agree on, if I've read all this correctly.  (And if not, please do forgive my mistake.)

1. Jfire's sticks don't look like Hutch's sticks.
2. If it was a mistake, it was made in good faith.
3. Jfire has offered to make it up to the purchaser, if he/she feels aggrieved.

Now, after that's established and agreed, who really cares? As far as I can tell, no one seems to think it's gonna impact anyone but the purchaser - so unless there's a different axe to be ground with respect to Jfire's rep, I don't think there's anything left to say.

Now let's all just put it to bed and, to quote a fellow Texan, "get on down the road."
[/quote]

Agreed.
