Wow, what a POS! In the past, people have been added to the scumbag list for less.  Reported the item on eBay, and will for all his future cigar listings  :bait:

I'm not sure flipping makes the guy a scumbag, but it feels a little seedy.  It's nice for any potential sellers to know what they're dealing with.  I know this is a commerce site, and not a BOTL community, although I'm sure many sellers here would still rather sell to someone who isn't flipping them on ebay.

My question is who would be in the market for cigars like these, that either doesn't already have access to or doesn't know about OLH?  I'd think anyone who would appreciate those cigars enough to value them at those prices would also know how to do their own ISO here and on other forums.  I'm just surprised there's actually money in flipping cigars bought here on ebay.

I can careless about what people buy and sell there shit for. I personally don't like when people prey on others for their own good or benefit.

Apparently you do care because you consider this taking advantage of someone (albeit we're still not clear of who it is) and you're here to report these injustices every time you see them. :D

No, flipping doesn't make him a scumbag, but that weirdness he pulled on the Giver is shady as fuck.

I like smooth deals with people who are on the level. Selling on eBay, rather than a cigar forum, is not "on the level."

Posting an ISO for items on here to go and flip somewhere else? Not sure how you can't see this.

I guess the reason this site was created is getting to be lost amongst members.

Or you are trying to make this site into something it was never intended to be :)

[/quote]so this site WAS intended for eBay flippers and scammers? Who knew? :o

I'm thinking that Taps is closer to the original intent...

I think the big difference here is that he is posting an ISO for things he just plans to flip. And I think generally when people fill iso's for people, they are trying to help them out. It usually isn't something that they were actively trying to already sell. Now if he were just buying things from sale threads and then flipping, then I think that is fine and all fair game.

I don't know what it is that he did to The Giver.

Aside from that, once you make a sale for an agreed upon price, what the hell business is it of yours what the buyer does with it.  It's nice to help someone out on an ISO and I fill some myself.  Just CYA and make it at a price that it would cost you to replace them if you had to.  It's one thing if buyer/seller knows one another, smokes together, and you know he'll keep them to sell them for what you have in them.  If you have cigars that are selling at much higher prices due to supply/demand, list them for what you believe is a reasonable market value.  That in no way makes you a gouger.

How many here would sell the Pappy they bought at MSRP at their local retailer to just any random person here ISO at what they paid for it?  Oh yeah, Taps would.  LMAO
