Hi
I am a little over a year and a half into Cubans just barely into the older HTF's and I love regionals. That said I know so little I am a babe in the woods. On my main board I have lots of friends who will answer questions or vouch for people or vendors. I also help the newer people there which I consider part of being a BOTL
So my point is due diligence, sure it's on the buyer but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate a little help. I bought a box through pm from a good guy here who offered to help if he could by vouching for people he knew, ( very cool Thanks ) Rather than be so cut and dried some of you more experience guy's could step up and help us greener people. I would do the same for you on nons.
In the end I would ban him but it's not gonna happen.
Thanks

It has been said before; everyone should do their due diligence and figure out what is going on before they start buying cigars from strangers.
ninersfan, you are a tool.

This is far more insulting then anything TL ever did.

You would side with a scammer's actions over this comment?
If that's the case, I've got some Monte GR's, Cohiba '66's, and some Diplomatic cigars for sale if you want some.

I'm new here as well, but I would never buy from someone without at least reading their trader comments. I would hope most would at LEASt do that much research before making a purchase. It's really not that difficult and his trader comments are a pretty good indicator to STAY AWAY.
If you can't tell TL might "possibly" be shady then that's on you at that point, the info is out there and readily available. But that's just my 2cents...

Gee-Man - I made the statement, so I'll own it.
Knuck42 - I used a term that aptly described this guys actions and behavior throughout this entire episode. If you found it insulting and offensive, then so be it; we have differing takes on the matter. His handling of the situation and his intentions from the get-go are why I went with the comment that I did. I do use a broad brush, which is an admitted fault of mine.
atomross13 - Were you really that offended? In reading between the lines of your post, I get the impression you were not, since your last statement comes across as pretty cavalier.
ChiTown_Huck - I can say, without an ounce of doubt, that I have been called a whole lot worse, by a whole lot better.

You contradict yourself. Do you see it as an apt term or a reflection of a fault? By definition it can not be both. Perhaps you do not, but most find that degrading, demeaning, insulting, and disparaging an entire race of people goes far beyond a mere fault, as well as far beyond some bunko scheme that took a handful of people for some coin.

I consider the term used to be fitting, given this guys' conduct and motives. I find it somewhat contradictory that you find my criticism of a known thief to be offensive, simply because I used a term that you found to be degrading/demeaning/insulting/disparaging.

I'd be interested in hearing how that term could be used to describe a person's "actions and behavior".

Iran boasts a temperate climate throughout much of the country. You may be surprised to hear than skiing exists north of Tehran.
Stereotypes betray ignorance. Just let it go Ninersguy. The derivation of the word 'coon' is clearly the most disturbing part of your clever formulation.
Rama is a thief and a liar. Those traits exist in all human cultures.
