If I am shipping rare/HTF, high cost or ones I can't replace, I add insurance. The cost is around $5 and just add it to the deal. If the $5 kills the deal, put them back in the humi. Spend the $5 now, keep the drama away later.

IMO, seller is no longer responsible once delivery is confirmed with the correct address given. Of course, I would probably still work something out with them.

Then tell them to get looking for it. This once happened to me and turned out the package was in the guy's "out mail". Oh yes, folks lie. Exhaust every possibility. If the stories on their end start sounding fishy... time to get your guard up. If it is my error, I own up.

Seller/shipper clearly is responsible for a lost package.
Couple other thoughts...
1) The insurance is so cheap when you think about the peace of mind and what it gives back to you if items are lost.
2) Signature confirmation is the way to go. Do NOT deliver without a signature. UPS and USPS will leave a note and you will have to pick it up and of course sign for it.
3) Get the ship-from address.
4) Pics. Real pics. I wish more people would provide pics. I know its a bit of a pain, but I like to see what I am buying, esp CCs.
I've had nothing but great experiences here. But i've also asked a couple sellers to provide pics, provide ship-froms, provide DC or SC... NEVER had an issue with any of the requests. And guess what... Haven't had a problem with a deal yet.

I did have a scare here for a minute when a package was left at a side door instead of the front door ;D
