True.
It's even more bothersome when the vendor does an ISO!
It's a fine line business/brotherhood!

Yes, I think Bill (Knuck42) likes to call this place PT Barnum's circus... I saw that in one of his posts a few days ago. :rotf:

Well, almost... I said Phineas T. had it right. But I was referring to his statement about a sucker born every minute. (Like the ones who pay 4X FMV for cigars and the like). :rotf:

Ahh, same guy though, I think... I was just on a different page of his book.
This place is a circus, there's no denying that...

In theory we all should benefit in price if a vendor/distributer is here. If their cost is roughly 50% of retail then hopefully we can get better than retail price.
I think that beats Joe Consumer paying retail then hiking up the price to make a buck.

Definitely one of the benefits of some other forums that is aside from the standard personal selling/trading. We have a few top notch vendors on CP who really take care of the membership there with discounted prices and top notch service. Part of that high level of service might be due to the brotherhood mantra. The other part may be due to the fact that they know word of mouth can make or break you on these forums.
It's a win, win all around when they join. We have a "Retailer Forum - HOT Cigar Deals" in the market place specifically for them that a lot of members frequent.
