Hydra SM?

Post by Habanos »

Hey guys-

Anyone using the Hydra sm? I'm on my last nerve with this thing! It will run dry at least one a week and the alarm always seems to go off in the middle of the damn night. >:( My humi is a end table type cabinet and i'm thinking maybe the Hydra-sm is not strong enough to maintain the RH? (I'm also using about 1lb. of 70% beads)

thoughts-comments much appreciated

According to my calculations it's approx 3.5 cubic feet (16 x 19 x 20)

I've got a CO that is the same size as your hydra in my cabinet.  Like you, I also have 1 lb of 65%  beads.  My cabinet is around 8 cu ft and I have to fill my CO about once every 3 weeks.  Have you checked your humi for leaks or tried to calibrate your hydra?

There are no visible gaps in the door or draw. I'm convinced the Hydra can't sustain the RH.
Think i'm going to switch to a CO XL just to see what happens.

Hey there, Im looking for a 2nd hand hyrda SM for a small wineador. If you decide to go with the CO XL id be interested in taking it off your hands. I am on Cigarbid and have good trading credit there. This is my first post on this website. Please let me knw either way, Thanks.
